A Brick for Bricker59
I came across this while searching for a pic for a different blog entry. A certain gentleman with self described thick black irresistible to women locks instantly sprang to mind.
So, Bricker, this one's for you...
Apparently back in the 60’s Mr. Heineken came up with the idea while concerned about the about of litter/wastage beer bottles were causing. Sadly they never saw the light of day… shame.
Best get started on that guest house....

@Bricker59 - all those bricks were reshaped by heating the bottle, putting it in a form and then injecting air into the bottle to make it conform to the mould.
Right mould, enough hot air and you've got a party right there.
there are a number of old houses down here in texas that have a wall of half a wall made with bottles-just called bottle walls. glass was scarce, but whiskey wasn't!
Pretty awesome idea! He could build a shelter for all the chicks who are in love with him (poor things).

I can totally wrap my head around the idea, but here I think we'd have to stick to interior walls.
@psychoticfrog - Nah, just fill the bottles with colored foam insulation... weather proof, vision proof, and toasty warm.
Excellent suggestion, except I really like to see the light reflect through the glass,hmm...
