@Cynthian73 - Thanks so much!!. Haven't heard from you lately. How's it going??
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!
@yicks2u - I have so many memories of the Schoharie Valley and our day trips there. I chose one little facet for the sake of brevity. I clearly remember what you are talking about. Do you remember the old cast iron bathub at the end of the road so we would know which donkey trail lead to the house. And do you remember that the swimming hole was different every spring because the ferocity and velocity of the spring runoff would rearrange those boulders like marbles? I remember the times when success fishing was dinner on the table, too......
What a strange coincidence that the first time I vist to read an up-to-date entry should be the day that you mention Aunt Mary and Uncle Clarences' house up on the hill. So strange also is the totally diffferent turn I have on what is really the same memory.
Do you remember the little access road ( dirt road in real life) that was on the other side of the bridge before you make the turn to the old house on the hill? It had a chain running across it that one could open simply by stepping out of the car, slipping the chain off the post, dropping to the ground and driving over it..Do you remember the times that Daddy would take us "fishing" up there with him. If memory serves, Dad was the only one fishing, and all of us kids were "hunting bait". When you think back one must wonder (do to the fact that I for one was not paying attention) if Dad ever really caught anything with all of those roudy children of his turning over rocks looking for crayfish, splashing each other, t
We would be glad to come! Kathy (Jr) is haveing some minor surgery on her foot this Friday so it will be at least a week past that as I would like to be available to give her a hand with the kiddies while Tom is at work. He is still working those revolving shifts at ISO so there are times when he is gone all night. I'm not sure how well she will be able to get around. Throw a few dates this way and I will let you know pronto. Thanks
Hope all is well with you. Jeremy was just saying how he wanted to have you and Tom come to our house for dinner sometime soon. Let me know when a good time would be.
Haven't heard from you in a while. How are you and the family. We really need to see you sometime after the snow has flown. Keep in touch, we're thinking about you all. (Real good thoughts)
Hope all is going well while you visit Hawaii. Enjoy the warm weather. It is freezing cold here.
